Eniola Badmus has stated that Nigerians buy fuel at the cheapest rate in the world

Recently, Nigerian thespian Eniola Badmus took to Daddy Freeze’s Instagram Live Stream to state her opinion on the state of fuel subsidy in Nigeria. According to her, Nigerians are right to feel angry over fuel prices but they probably don’t understand what true fuel subsidy is. Furthermore, she expressed that regardless of this ignorance, Nigerians still buy the cheapest fuel in the world.

The actress also used the opportunity to bring up her unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom many have accused of being a stumbling block on the road to cheap fuel. She referred to social media users as “keypad warriors” and instead of pointing fingers, she urged them to be realistic and accept that Nigerians have been enjoying a certain degree of subsidy since Tinubu took office.

She also gave further insight as to why Tinubu has her full backing. Stating that he is one of the most selfless “philanthropists” she has ever seen and a “cheerful giver” who is willing to solve other people's problems regardless of whether he knows them or not.

Badmus is not one to shy away from controversy, especially when it comes to politics and as such, she was steadfast in her defense of the President, stating that she has a right to choose whoever her leader is, and that she would stand by him until he leaves office.

Overall, while Eniola Badmus stated her opinion on the current state of fuel subsidy in Nigeria, the conversation is ultimately a much larger one and the quest to have stable fuel prices in the country continues.
